Uchan Su Shawl – one more shawl knitted according to the design by Alexander Kulikov.

Actually I finished it a little while ago, but it took some time to stretch it and then it was very windy and I could not take photos. But now… I am absolutely thrilled to finally present it to you. And as you can tell from the colours… I am ready for Christmas:)

I also would like to tell you a little about the yarn.

This time, I used Turkish Alize Sal Simli yarn (5% metalic and 95% acrylic; 100g = 460m) – and I unexpectedly fell in love with it.

I have used this yarn in the past to crochet a shawl and in my opinion it was fine, but definitely not my first choice. And yet for this knitted project I absolutely love it – the shawl looks very delicate and it feels much softer than in a crochet project and don’t even get me started on the gentle shine. I absolutely love it…

The shawl was knitted on circular lace knitting needles – 2,5mm.

Skara “Učan Su” – dar viena skara pagal Alexandro Kulikovo sukurtą raštą.

Tiesą sakant, skara buvo numegzta dar prieš porą mėnesių. Na bet taip išėjo, kad jos blokavimui prireikė kiek daugiau laiko, o vėliau buvo labai vėjuota ir tinkamo nuotraukų darymui oro teko laukti net kelias savaites. Bet galų gale galiu ją jums parodyti – kaip kad matosi iš spalvų – aš jau pasiruošusi Kalėdoms :)…

Dar norėčiau trumpai papasakoti apie siūlus.

Mezgiau skarą iš turkiškų Alize Sal Simli siūlų (5% metalizuoto siūlo ir 95% akrilo; 100g = 460m).

Jau esu anksčiau nėrusi iš šitų siūlų skarą ir man jie visai patiko. Na bet mezgant šį šalį aš į juos įsimylėjau. Mezginys išėjo žymiai minkštesnis nei nertoji skara; puikiai matosi reljefinis raštas, o jau apie tą subtilų blizgesį net nekalbėsiu… Man begalo patinka galutinis rezultatas, o ką galvojat jūs?

Megzta 2,5mm virbalais su valu.

The fall is coming to an end in great strides. The wind is blowing the last of the leaves off the trees, and the mornings are more frosty, more cold, and more wintery with every day. Soon, very soon, nature will come to a calm, white standstill… and it is with this monochromatic calm of winter that this Forest Reflection Shawl was knit.

The shawl was knitted according to the design created by Marina Gorshtein.

For this shawl, I used Midara Angora2 yarn : 50% mohair 30% acryl, 20% virgin wool. 100g/750m.

The shawl was knitted on circular lace knitting needles – 3mm.

Ruduo ryžtingai artėja link pabaigos. Vėjas baigia plėšti paskutinius spalvingus lapus, o rytais vis dažniau kanda šaltukas. Jau greit, labai greit, gamta nurims, pablykš visos spalvos…

Galvojant apie monochromiškus žiemos atspalvius ir buvo numegzta nauja skara “Miško atspindys”.

Skara buvo numegzta pagal Marinos Gorštein sukurtą raštą.

Siūlai – Midara Angora2. Sudėtis: 50% – moheris, 30% – akrilanas, 20% – jauna vilna. 100g = 750 metrų.

Mezgiau 3mm virbalais su valu.
