I am always fond of the colors that play an intricate role in the creation of my shawls. In this process, so far, I have discovered a particular color that transcends every combination – white. As such, today I boast a new addition to my collection – a small, white summer shawl by the name of “Sperl”.

Sperl Shawl was crocheted according to the design created by Ewa Dulian.

For the shawl, I used approximately 1000m of white triple thread yarn from the Kokonki brand.

Crocheted with a 3mm crochet hook.

Mezginiuose mėgstu naudoti pačias įvairiausias spalvas, bet universaliausia (kaip kad visiems žinoma), prie visko tinkanti yra balta. Va todėl šiandien ir giriuose nauja balta nedidele vasariška skara – “Sperl”.

Šaliui sunaudojau maždaug 1000 metrų balto trijų gijų siūlo. Gamintojas – Kokonki.

A doll Ada - Lėlė "Ada"

Today I present to you Auksė‘s little sister- Ada. My older daughter made her as a Christmas gift for my younger daughter last year. My younger daughter loved it and although she is a little too old to be playing with dolls, Ada adds just the perfect warm cosy touch to her room at university. Needless to say, one is never too old to have a doll.

The colors here are more of a classic combination- I love the strong contrast of the red with the fair skin.

Made according to the “Mari” doll pattern by Talulah Boom, and clothing pattern by the same author (although my daughter did alter the dress pattern to add in some of the finer details).

Šiandien pristatau jums mažąją Auksės sesę – Adą.

Vyresnioji dukra pernai nunėrė šią lėlytę kaip Kalėdinę dovaną jaunėlei. Nors jaunėlė yra kiek per didelė žaisti su lėlėmis, bet Ada suteikia šilumos ir jaukumo jos kambariui, studijuojant toli nuo namų. Trumpai tik pridėčiau – žmogus niekada nėra per senas, kad turėti lėlę :).

A little doll named Goldie – Lėlytė “Auksė”

I am not the only one in our family who has a love for crafts. You’ve already seen my mum’s gorgeous wrist warmers.

And now… I’d like to present to you the work of my older daughter who is a real lover of doll-making.

Doll Goldie - Lėlytė "Auksė"

The doll below is called ‘Auksė’ (‘Goldie’ in Lithuanian), her colors were inspired by the sunrise. The doll and shoe pattern is according to Tallulah Boom’s “Mari” pattern. Her dress is my daughter’s original design.

Crocheted with a 2mm hook.

Ne tik mane mūsų šeimoje žavi randarbiai. Jums jau teko matyti spalvingas mano mamos riešines. Na o šiandien norėčiau pasigirti vyresnėlės darbais. Ji pas mus tikra lėlių meistė.

A new set of coasters – Naujas servetėlių komplektas

A new set of crocheted coasters to go under your Christmas cup!!! The pattern is a very simple, traditional one that always looks good. This time, executed in burgundy red…. to match the little robin perched on your garden snow, or the oversized silk bow gathering the mistletoe. Coffee served on such a coaster evokes a cosy feeling and almost chants out loud “Merry Christmas to all”.

I also used a new type of yarn for this new creation- Alize Diva silky effect: 100g=350m. Color – 106. Overall, I’m very happy with the results.

Naujas servetėlių komplektas, skirtas kavai serviruoti. Labai paprastas, tradicinis ir visada gražiai atrodantis raštas, praturtintas puikiai net Kalėdoms tinkančiais raudonai-bordinės spalvos siūlais. Taip patiekta kava dvelkia jaukiai paprasta, bet tikrai ne banalia elegancija.
