Today is a chilly day here in Chicago but with hardly any wind and I was able to- finally- take some pictures of my new Boutonniere shawl (woohoo).
I was very lucky to be invited to test out Alexander Kulikov’s new shawl pattern (and this shawl is the result).
The pattern had me captivated from the very beginning. The stitch themselves aren’t very complicated and the shawl itself was quite fast to make, but the resulting product looked very luxurious. Looking at the pattern, it somewhat reminds me of a pomegranate fruit- very majestic but also very familiar. And thus here’s my opinion: a wonderful shawl pattern to which- I am sure- I will return many more times in the future. I am especially excited to try this pattern in a more vibrant yarn color or even perhaps with linen thread.
Midara Silk Mohair: 72% Kid Mohair, 28% Mulberry Silk, 25g = 210m.
Knitted on 4mm circular knitting needles.
Šiandien pas mus vėsu, bet beveik nėra vėjo ir galų gale pavyko padaryti naujo šalio “Butonjerė” nuotraukas.
Man labai pasisekė būti pakviestai testuoti Alexandro Kulikovo sukurtą raštą.
Raštas sužavėjo mane iš pat pradžių. Viskas labai paprasta ir mezgėsi greitai, bet skara išėjo labai prabangi. Greičiausiai viskas dėl nuostabaus pagrindinio motyvo, kuris man kažkodėl priminė granato vaisius ir atrodė labai didingas, bet tuo pačiu toks pažįstamas – lyg kažkur matytas.
Nuostabus dizainas prie kurio, esu tikra, dar ne kartą sugrįšiu – labai norisi numegzti man šį šalį iš ryškios spalvos siūlų, o dar kniedi mintis, kad gražiai šis raštas turėtų žiūrėtis numegztas iš lino.
